Mortimer is a miscellaneous character used in a variety of settings. Their typical occupation is that of an assassin who focuses primarily on stealth. They are mischievous and cheeky and can, at times, be cruel. They love to play games and mess with people, and they are most well-known for being an incredibly crass pervert. Despite their overly familiar nature, however, they often struggle with forming real friendships and are actually terrified of intimacy.

In modern settings that have smartphones and the like, Mortimer is usually hopelessly addicted to social media and gacha games. They could probably be described as terminally online and may even self-identify with the phrase.


Mortimer's abilities vary based on the worldbuilding of the respective setting they are placed in. If a setting has magic, they will have powers that are conducive to their occupation, namely ones that assist them in stealthily getting into and out of even the most fortified locations. They're confident in their knife skills and are also comfortable with aiming and throwing them. In modern settings, they are well-trained in the use of firearms, including both pistols and snipers.

They sometimes wear a mask to cover their face. In modern settings, the mask is usually a gas mask.
